PROTEST IN FRONT OF RUSSIAN EMBASSY DISRUPTED

Today the activists of Karabakh Freedom Organization and Social Rights Monitoring Group attempted to hold an unsanctioned protest action in front of the Russian Embassy to Azerbaijan.
Police employees prevented the protest action, taking away posters and removing protesters from in front of the Embassy.
Protesters chanted slogans demanding Russia to apologize to the Azerbaijani people for the death of about 131 persons during independence movement protests held in Baku on January 20, 1990.
Police did not allow the organization to present their statement to the Russian Embassy, but the Nasimi District Police Department Deputy Chief Suleyman Nematov said that he will present the document to the Embassy.
