As of May 19th ANS TV channel will have a new face, with a new logo and design. The new logo consists of three rhomboid shapes with the letters a, n and s inside, which together make a picture of a TV set.
"The rhomboid shape is frequently used in Azerbaijani culture, in the decoration of carpets, in architecture and so on. Our national pastry pakhlava also comes in this form," said ANS designer Andreas Brietske.
The color and design of TV programs have also been changed. "For the Sahar (Morning) TV show, the studio will be in yellow and orange, to indicate the sun. Our news program, it will be blue, to represent objectivity and neutrality. The color for political programs will be red," said ANS TV producer Anti Dombrovski.
He added that international experts have been brought in to improve the filming, and design workshops have been held to bring to light young talent.
ANS president Vahid Mustafayev noted that the new design of ANS TV represents the channel's strong ties with Azerbaijani history and culture, and its readiness to keep up with the pace of modern life.
He told reporters that it will soon be possible to watch ANS TV programs online on its website.
